Blue Composites Tahiti is an association of skills looking at filling a gap in the boat building sector in French Polynesia. The team gathers high tech knowledge in the fields of composites as well as vacuum and infusion technics in controlled atmosphere.

Nicolas GRUET

CEO of Blue Composite Tahiti and naval architect in charge of design & developments.

Nicolas is also the founder and manager of NG Yacht Design that has so far helped build over 200 boats. His skills cover a large range of boats and yachts designs including a 34, 40 and 50 feet catamarans series currently built in Thailand.

Nicolas is also a skilled and experience sailor both for racing and cruising. He has been living in Tahiti for almost 20 years and has sailed around the South Pacific Ocean as well as the Caribbean and European Atlantic coast for years.

Alexandre GENTON

Alexandre is a skilled wood and high-tech composites boat builder. He has directed the construction of the “O Tahiti Nui freedom” sailing canoe, a 15m long first class oceanic boat as well as “Va’a Motu ” built in the remote island of Fakarava for lagoon tours. These 2 boats were built on NG Yacht Design plans and are the perfect illustration of traditional and modern work visions carried by human values looking for excellence, environment protection and cultural respect.

Alexandre also works on vacuum infused high-tech carbon parts and can switch from modernity to tradition with always the best result. He is also a skilled sailor and has spend years working as a skipper on charter boats. He has a perfect knowledge of the South Pacific Ocean and other places in the world.
